The design team at Charter Furniture Solutions recently completed furnishing a one-bedroom custom model apartment in Dallas, Texas into a stunning, inviting and warm space. In this blog post, we share with you the design concepts and details of this project, along with the importance of furnishing model apartments for multifamily communities.
Design Concepts
The primary goal for this project was to furnish the one-bedroom model apartment in a way that would attract more young professionals who increasingly work from home. To achieve this, we wanted to create an open, inviting floor plan to showcase the apartment’s ample room. The design concept we presented to the property management team at the Tides at Midtown, combined various textures, framed art, and a color palette of neutrals with rich pops of color. The result is a modern, chic space with a homey feel.
Living Room
The heart of this one-bedroom apartment is undoubtedly the living room. We love the custom model’s neutral color palette. The auburn velvet accent chair, the natural wood of the coffee table, and gold accents combine to infuse the room with both sophistication and coziness.
Bedroom
The bedroom is a tranquil retreat. With a queen-sized bed adorned with soft, luxurious bedding. Neutral tones were complemented by deep blue accents, creating a soothing ambiance. A large window allows natural light to flood the room, enhancing its spacious feel. Above the bed, abstract artwork beautifully connects with the living room’s aesthetic.
Kitchen + Entry
Our designs include meticulous details! When crafting a custom model apartment, we leave no stone unturned, encompassing both the kitchen and the entryway. From carefully selected artwork and stylish barstools to thoughtfully arranged place settings, every element contributes to the feel of the space. When designing a custom model apartment, we believe that paying attention to these intricate details is just as crucial as selecting the primary furnishings.
This custom staged one-bedroom apartment is now a powerful tool in leasing efforts. Furnishing a vacant apartment model can effectively convey the true potential and feel of a space. When prospective residents walk into a furnished apartment, they can visualize themselves living there. It helps them understand the layout, flow, and potential uses of the space, making it more likely for them to choose to call it home.
If you’re in the multifamily industry, consider the impact of thoughtful interior design on your leasing success—it’s a game-changer!
